FRCS Class of 2021
A Class to Celebrate!

Project Graduation Life After High School

The FRCS Class of 2021 is fairly diverse, and God is calling each student in a very unique way.  From gap years and immediate trades and careers, to more school and serving in the military, your ability to Create Culture for Christ will have no bounds.  Each of you are on a different path, and in a different place, when it comes to your faith.  And you are certainly not cookie cutter Christians, but have each been molded and challenged in different ways to own, or perhaps to someday own, your faith.  Every action of the faculty at FRCS, partnering with our Christian homes, has been to prepare you for life.

Graduation Day is a pivotal point in your life.  Everything you have done before is so you are prepared for after.

Looking forward into your future, think of everything that FRCS and your parents have poured into you.  This was all to prepare you for the adventures that are about to come!  Project Graduation is about learning the foundation God has laid in your life, so you can always come back and know His peace.

Project Graduation - what is your marker?

Project Graduation:  How have you been prepared and what are your plans after Graduation?

When your children ask in time to come, ‘What do those stones mean to you?’ then you shall tell them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the LORD. When it passed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. So these stones shall be to the people of Israel a memorial forever.  (Joshua 4:6-7, ESV)

When the Israelites crossed the Jordan, they placed a marker to remind them of what God had done for them.  What is your marker as you cross from high school to life after? What has God put onto your heart to remember?

For some, it might be what you were taught – specific reading and math skills, or an understanding of history and where we belong.  For others, you may have been prepared for life through your ability to analyze and articulate what you think?  My prayer is the unique love shared with each individual student, and the safety to question and express genuine doubt and fears, has laid a foundation on Christ that you own.  And no matter what happens, that foundation will remain.  Life will not be easy – creating Culture for Christ is perilous.  And your faith will be tested.  But remember the markers you put down today, and trust that no matter what happens, God will bring you to him to be who you are made to be.
